Adamec Joins Pella Windows & Doors of Wisconsin
Pella Windows & Doors of Wisconsin has hired long-time building industry expert Greg Adamec.
As millwork general manager, Adamec will lead Pella Windows & Doors of Wisconsin into the millwork market. He will also continue working with the residential and remodeling market, and assist the window side of the company's trade business segments, using his relationships with residential and remodeling contractors in the southern portion of the state.
Adamec most recently spent nearly 12 years as the general manager of Milwaukee Millwork, overseeing all staff in sales, purchasing, project coordination, billing, marketing and facility management operations.
PGT Adds Two Sales Executives
PGT Inc. has appointed Brent Boydston as vice president of sales and Dan Plotnick as its new director of sales for Southeast Florida and internationally.
Boydston's responsibilities will include day-to-day operations for all aspects of sales, as well as overseeing PGTI's multi-brand sales strategy.
Skyreach Appoints Rick Pries as Sales Representative
Skyreach L&S Extrusions recently named Rick Pries as its technical sales representative for Western Canada and the Western United States.
Based in Edmonton, Alberta, Pries will manage the company's accounts within his region, and actively develop and oversee its product portfolio.
Before joining Skyreach L&S, Pries has been in the PVC profile extrusion and window industry for more than 30 years, with notable management tenures at Gienow Window and Door and Veka Canada.
Window World Names O'Shea Vice President of Marketing
Window World has hired Dan O'Shea as its new vice president of marketing. O'Shea brings more than 35 years of design and marketing experience serving clients in a variety of industries.
For the past 13 years, O'Shea was the general manager of the Piedmont Triad division of Fairway Media LLC. Before his tenure at Fairway Media, he held the role of national creative director with Fairway's parent company, Morris Communications Company LLC. Over the years, O'Shea was involved with the organization's various media platforms, including print, event marketing, digital and direct marketing, as well as out-of-home media.
Deceuninck North America Appoints New Quality Assurance Manager
Deceuninck North America has named William (Bill) Eberhardt its quality assurance manager. In this role, Eberhardt will develop, direct and implement company-wide quality- focused activities.
Eberhardt has more than 16 years of experience in the door and window industry. Most recently he served as quality manager, senior process engineer and interim production manager for Quanex Building Products in Richmond, Ky. Eberhardt holds a Bachelor of Science in chemistry with a minor in sociology and life science from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. In addition, he holds several certifications for excellence in Quality Assurance and Management.
Triad/Ruvo Names Tuma New Sales Manager
Lowell Tuma has been named the national sales manager of Triad/Ruvo. Triad manufactures wall panel equipment for wood/steel framing, and Ruvo provides millwork and pre-hung door equipment to the construction industry.
Tuma previously worked for Merrick Machine from 2001 through 2011 in machinery sales. He began his career at Merrick as the assistant sales manager and was quickly promoted to national sales manager. In 2011, he relocated his family to California and became an independent sales representative for Merrick Machine.
NFRC Adds Three New Staff Members
The National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) has expanded its staff in recent months.
Tom Barnett is the new senior director of programs. He joined staff in March. He has a B.S. in Engineering Management from West Point, a Master's degree in Business Administration, and practical engineering and product development experience from organizations such as Georgia Pacific, Masco, and Newell Window/Kirsch.
NFRC's programs group has added two professionals to the staff: Steve Urich and Stewart Nicholas.
Urich joined the NFRC staff in August 2016 in the role of senior manager, programs, and his responsibilities will include the commercial fenestration program, training, inspections and committee work. Urich comes from Keystone Certifications and has approximately 20 years in the fenestration industry. He has served on several committees for NFRC in the past and is very familiar with the NFRC mission. Urich has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer.
Nicholas joined the NFRC staff in June 2016 in the role of manager, NFRC software applications. One of his primary responsibilities is to oversee the development of requirements for new or improved NFRC software. In addition, he will lead the applications support team as they assist with documenting functionality, extracting needs for new and/or improved solutions, and supporting end users with issues resolution and training. Nicholas is a seasoned fenestration product certification professional with over seven years of experience in NFRC-licensed inspection agency role and comes from AMS, Inc., bringing hands-on experience with several of the NFRC applications including Window, Therm, Optics, and the NFRC Certified Product Directory (CPD). Nicholas is a ten-year veteran of the U.S. Army in the Signal Corps branch.

DWM Wins Silver at ASBPE Awards
Door and Window Market (DWM) magazine took home a silver in the American Society of Business Publication Editors' (ASBPE) Mid-Atlantic regional awards, given out in late June. DWM editor Trey Barrineau was recognized in the highly competitive feature article category for his 2015 report, "Where Have All the Workers Gone?" Art director Saundra Hutchison was also honored for her work on the feature. DWM's sister publications, USGlass and WINDOW FILM, were award winners as well.
