Alside Hits a Triple

Alside introduces new triple- pane insulating glass technology in Mezzo Windows, its latest replacement window product line. Mezzo Windows with new triple- pane insulating glass are engineered for maximum energy savings. This optional glass system provides consumers with even better energy- efficient performance compared to standard dual-pane solutions, according to the company. However, regardless of the glass option selected, all Mezzo Windows meet the new, stringent Energy Star Northern Zone requirements, which went into effect on January 1, 2016.

The new triple-pane insulated glass option further optimizes the energy efficiency of Mezzo Windows. The high-performance design features a one-inch-thick glass unit, three panes of glass, two surfaces of multi-layer Low-E (low-emissivity) coatings, and two chambers filled with argon gas, along with the ClimaTech ThermD Intercept Stainless Steel Spacer System. According to the company, the energy-efficient performance is 52 percent better than double- pane clear glass systems.

Jeld-Wen Delivers an EpicVue

Jeld-Wen's new EpicVue windows are now available through dealers nationwide. The company says these clad-wood windows pair the latest in technology and durability with popular contemporary style concepts and customization options.

Clean lines, square interior detailing and a sleek profile enhance the minimalist, contemporary feel of any living space. This design technique leaves more of the glass exposed. The windows' robust aluminum-extruded sash–which provides rigid strength and stability–helps support the pane, which means more expansive openings and views.

All EpicVue clad-wood windows and patio doors are crafted with AuraLast. This proprietary, water-based wood treatment helps protect from rot, water saturation and termites.

Brisa Snaps Back

ODL's Brisa is a retractable screen door for builders, remodelers and contractors.

It can be installed with in-swing, out-swing and sliding doors, and the outer-face mount design optimizes door width.

According to the company, Brisa requires just 30 minutes to install from start to finish, and a single tool–a power drill. ODL's Quick-Snap track eliminates the need for cutting; the aluminum track snaps into the screen housing and adjusts to match the width of the door. Brisa fits most popular door sizes, 32 to 36 inches, and with just two cuts, the screen unit can be customized for smaller door sizes, 28 to 31 ½ inches.

Brisa's EZ-Glide Control System allows the screen to open and close smoothly, the company says. The screen slides seamlessly across the track, and its ergonomic design allows for easy one-hand operation. A small locking latch offers security from the inside and prevents the screen from opening unintentionally.
